Computer Games Software Developer (Engine)

Our client is looking for exceptional and passionate programmers who want to work with cutting edge technology to join our technologies team.

Job role
Joining our clients’’ Technologies team you would be developing new in-house tools to support our games development team while also working with our code libraries, scripting language and game engine technologies. We are looking for people who have excelled in the field of computer programming to join a fast paced team, with successful candidates being proficient in all aspects of programming and also be able to code in a succinct manner.

Essential requirements:
We are looking for the below details in candidates who wish to apply for this position.
·An absolute passion for programming and have developed programs as a hobby or for fun;
·Proven track record of creating programs to a high standard (portfolios containing hobbyist programming will be warmly received);
·Extremely proficient in using C, C++ or JAVA;
·The ability to laterally identify multiple solutions to a problem and choose the simplest option;
·Experience with early platforms such as 8 bit or 16 bit programs.

Desirable:
·Achieved a degree classification (first or upper second class) in an outstanding degree which contains mathematical elements;
·Assembler programming experience;
·Industry experience, including sandwich years, summer placements or freelance work.

Salary:

Salary is negotiable and extremely competitive. The package will also have benefits including annual bonus, private health care and gym membership. You will be working in a friendly and relaxed environment with people of similar interests.
